heureuse de Halloween

Halloween was pretty chill this year. It's weird being older and trying to celebrate Halloween. Suddenly carving pumpkins feel like more of hassle and its now socially unacceptable to go trick-or-treating (not that i wanted to anyways).  However, we did go to my first "professional" haunted house. When it comes to haunted houses, or just being scared for that matter, it doesn't matter who is with me or where we are, because i immediately go into survival mode and will take down anyone who is in my way of escaping the creepy zombie lady crawling after me. I literally pushed my friends up against a wall, then fell on them, elbowed my friend in the stomach, got back up and booked it out in the hallway, and didn't look back once. Finally a worker had to stop me. Oh, and i broke my friend's necklace. By the way this was before we even got into the actual haunted house. This was just the waiting room. So, i think we all learned a valuable lesson that day, and that is not to be anywhere near me when i am feeling threatened. Luckily my friends are all okay, and the necklace was fixed.

Anyways, on Halloween night my friends and I decided it would still be fun to dress up and go to our neighbors annual haunted house (don't worry, everyone was okay afterwards, i wasn't too violent). Our street is really fun on Halloween, because everyone dresses up and sits on their driveways with fire pits (not that its already 90 degrees) and get really into it. So, we hung out around there and then went to my friend's house to play games.

i was going to be a mime, but the hat i borrowed turned out looking more french, so i went with that. Hence the reason why the title of this post is in french.

Hope everyone else had a happy Halloween!

future meet blog, blog meet your future.

Last week for fall break me and Lindsey went with Holly and her family up to Provo to stay for a few days at their Grandpa's house. I was really excited to go, because i am planning on going to an esthetician school there after i graduate, and i hadn't even been there to see it or anything. So i jumped on the chance to go!

(some random boys we passed gave us this. haha.. too bad they were creepy)

 (shout out to Amanda!)

Needless to say, we had a great time! Obviously, my favorite part was taking a tour at Acaydia and seeing where i will be going to school in just 10 short months! We spent most of our nights over visiting BYU pretending to be cool college kids. We also rode bikes around in the amazing weather and scenery, and went to Salt Lake and did a little shopping at City Creek and went to Temple Square. We ate at Ripple's which was mind-blowing (if any of you have seen that seminary video than you understand), and not to mention going to our first college party! with many more to come :)

What I loved most about it was just simply being there. I loved the feeling of it and knowing that this will be my home pretty soon! there were a few times i would think about it and start hyperventilating, but in the end i know that it is exactly the right place for me and i can't wait for the opportunities and adventure it holds for me.

See you soon Provo! Don't have too much fun without me!

General Conference with Ma and Pa at the cabin

(we could never get a good picture with our eyes open!!)

The cabin is seriously the best place to watch General Conference. So relaxing, and totally cut off from every day life. Its just you, the trees, the hammock, the cinnamon rolls, and the amazing prophet and leaders of our church. This year was a little different though, because normally for conference we take up the whole family to the cabin to watch, but with the new babies and everyone's different schedules it turned out just being me, and the parents. Now some teenagers might think that being stuck in a cabin in the forest with your parents is a nightmare. But not me! it was perfect! With school in full swing and my busy teenage life this was just what i needed. I'm always in need of a spiritual pick-me-up :)

football game, bumper cars, bowling, and drunks.

Last night was exactly what I needed. This past week i've been so swamped with my new job, but luckily for my own sanity,  I didn't have to work this weekend, so last night we had a little fun! First me, Holly and Shae attended the football game. We lost 31-7. WOO GO HAWKS.
Later, we met up with some guys from our ward and went to Brunswick to go bowling. However, while we were waiting for a lane to open a super nice worker let us do the bumper cars for free! I don't think my neck will ever be the same.
Finally, it was our turn to bowl and we scored a lane next to two drunk couples. yes! no, but really they were the highlight of our night. One of them kept coming over and talking us about how good it feels to be sixteen and how we should never drink alcohol. Then we watched as they would blind fold each other and attempt to make a strike. Surprisingly, one of them actually did, but the other three just threw the ball down the alley next to them making a huge crashing noise. And for the first time I finally witnessed people taking shots! So not as dramatic as movies make it, but thats how most things are. We were sad to see them finally gather their things and stumble out the exit, because we knew we just lost our entertainment for the rest of the night.

I guess the lesson learned here tonight is how glad I am that I will never experience being drunk.
Oh and that i still suck at bowling.

nephew #3

Ahhh here he is! finally! It seems like we've been waiting FOREVER for this guy to show up! Little Drew is absolutely perfect! Waking up at 4 a.m. to go meet him at the hospital was totally worth it. Ashley was a champ! I've been so anxious to see what he would look like since he is Ash and David's first kid, and i simply cannot get enough of him. I love how he is always sucking in his lower lip. But seriously my most favorite thing about him is his nose. Isn't it the cutest?
being an aunt is the best :)

"Rockin' Robin... tweet, tweet, tweet."

Guess who finally grew up and decided to get a big girl job? yes, you have guessed correctly, me! I landed a perfect job at the cutest little vintage ice cream shop called Rock'n Robyn (the owner's name really in Robyn). I am so excited! Not having to stress over when the next babysitting job would come around, so i could make sure i have gas for my car is unimaginable. I started training this past Thursday and so far everything has gone pretty smooth. The girls there are super nice and our manager is the most easy-going person ever. Luckily i am pretty skilled at scooping ice cream, but i have to say I am a little challenged when it comes to the register. So many different buttons for so many different types of orders, and not to mention figuring out discounts and coupons gets to be a real pain. Hopefully i will get the hang of things though, because apparently the first few months we are on probation.. so if i screw up big time i could get booted. I'm just glad that their main focus is on being really outgoing and friendly towards the customers and i think i can handle that, but who knows, i guess we'll see how this turns out. If you are ever in the area stop by and say hello! I promise to give you an extra big scoop. Wish me luck! :)
