Over Thanksgiving weekend, our highly anticipated family reunion took place! all 72 members of my Dad's side of the family attended, which was such a blessing. Some of these people i haven't seen in.. i don't even know how long, so it was so fun to visit and get a chance to "re-know" some of my awesome family!
On Thanksgiving day we all participated in a 5k that Ashley and David set up for us and then had a delicious feast thanks to my mom and aunts.
As a result of months and months and months of planning, over the next few day we had several activities to keep us busy and entertained. We played minute to win it, rode Ashley & David's go-cart, went black friday shopping, yoga, golfing, murder in the dark, telling ghost stories, swimming, the car show, learning about our ancestors, lots of eating, and most of all, enjoying each other's company.
On the dreaded last day of the reunion we sadly hugged goodbye, but also got some pictures done.
Each time i am around my family i am reminded of how blessed i am to be born into such an amazing family that is always there to love and support me. I honestly don't know what i did to deserve it but i thank my Heavenly father everyday for them.
This reunion was so fun and I look forward to more in the future!
